Welcome Me Back!

By Vienna | July 8, 2008

I am back but I am still not in the “blogging all day” mode. This is just a quick post to let MyPinkNotes.com readers that I am alive and I have so much to tell.

My “coming back” doesn’t mean Ruthi is going away so there’s no need for Ruthi’s fans to worry because you’ll get more of her here.

shanghai.jpg So anyway, I am now in Shanghai! My husband and I got here at around 5pm on July 1st and I cannot believe how hot it is in this city. Shanghai’s temperature is very different from that of Changchun even if these two cities are only 2 hours by plane away from each other. Also, I am amazed by the fact that a lot of people living in Shanghai can speak English. That makes it way cooler to live here than in Changchun. Somebody once mentioned living in Shanghai is just a small upgrade from living in Changchun but I think that is underestimating Shanghai. Shanghai is more international and there are a lot of things to do here. Here in Shanghai you can find almost everything except maybe a gulp of clean air. Haha. Anyway, I am excited about living in and experiencing Shanghai. Actually, I’ve been here last year but only for a short time. And because Shanghai is just a few hours away from Manila, I am cool with the fact that my husband is contracted to work here for two years.

Okay, sorry to cut this short but it’s time for me to exit Starbucks and turn off my computer but don’t worry because I have two whole years to live here so you can be sure to read more about this city and about me in it.

Ciao for now!

Diamond Jewelries and a Lot More

By Vienna | July 8, 2008

Women in general are very particular when it comes to shopping for jewelries. We have to have a wide selection and we don’t only need to stare at and scrutinize our choice but also, we need to try to make sure it fits. We have to spend countless hours until finally deciding which piece of jewelry to buy. These may sound stressful but we love having this kind of stress. It’s actually fun!

But many of us feel the dilemma of having to spend their days doing their jobs, leaving them standing out in front of closed jewelry shops, staring at those in the display while hoping for the day when they can have the luxury of shopping for jewelries again.

Well, hope no more because this dilemma is a thing of the past. The internet made it possible for everybody to do their shopping any time of the day and anywhere in the world. And when it comes to shopping for jewelries in particular, it’s a must to check out MyJewelryBox.com because they have a wide array of jewelries to choose from. Good Girls have Diaries and Bad Girls have Blogs

By Ruthi | July 3, 2008

mouseI read in one of the blogs I stumbled upon during my blog rituals these words… “Good girls have diaries… Bad girls have blogs.” It took me quite awhile to digest it but eventually, I realized maybe it’s true. Why not? I was a typical girl when I was younger. I was a good girl and yes, I kept diaries. Now that I am a grown up, I changed a lot but not necessarily for the better. I may have been a bit naughty [I had to admit] and that qualifies me to be a bad girl in layman’s term. And yes, I have blogs… lots of them. I have 6 active blogs and another one in the oven.

But then, I know deep in my heart that I am a good girl. I am not perfect but not really that bad. Diaries are the things of the past and blogs are the thing of the present. Still that doesn’t mean that girls with blogs are bad girls. I know a lot of good girls who are good bloggers as well.

Text Me, Text You

By Ruthi | July 3, 2008

phoneI usually bring my new phone everywhere I go now. I have no choice because Hubby might call or text me anytime or the other way around. Hubby gets a regular “I love U” text from me now and I get the “I love u 2” text back most of the time too. But more than anything else, I am more than happy with my phone for its alarm feature. I set the alarm on 3 different times… 5am for my wakeup call… 8am for my “jog-run-walk” time… and 9am for my prayer time.

Phone Home

By Ruthi | July 3, 2008

phoneI am not a phone person. I hate having a phone because I don’t want to carry around things. And I don’t want people to check on me. But then I know how important it is, especially now that I am driving. Hubby is worried all the time because I am a new driver and I don’t know places around here even if I have a GPS on my car. So, he got me a new phone so that I can phone home in case I miss a turn or two or totally lost my sense of direction.

Since he is an online shopper, as usual he shops online. He found Savings.com and got the best phone deal through AT&T promotion codes. He got me an LG phone with camera and other cool features from AT & T. And with Savings.com we save 50% on phone and service plan. This website is a leading online coupon destination that gives people a lot of saving on their online shopping through discounts and coupons.

So next time, you need to buy anything, try clicking on Savings.com and you will be amazed with all the best deals and savings that you can get from it.

That Time of the Month

By Ruthi | July 2, 2008

legsI was cranky when I woke up this morning. Hubby was not too happy about it. But he was very sympathetic. He knows what’s going on when out of the blue I turned into a monster. He knows what time of the month I will turn into a werewolf. He knows what time of the month is the best time to leave me alone.

This is the time of the month when I don’t feel like leaving the comfort of my bedroom. This is the time of the month when I don’t want to do anything but sit around and eat. This is the time of the month when I don’t like what I see in the mirror.

Ah women! That was all he said, whenever I was not in the best of my mood.

Women’s Monthly Miracle

By Ruthi | July 2, 2008

It is a known fact that women play a very important role in this world. Being a woman is a privilege. We are part of a miracle known as life. We are considered as the cradle of life because we are capable of procreation.

Today, with all the medical problems that we have in this world, millions of dollars are invested on medical researches to find cures for all types of diseases to save lives. And one of them is about “new stem cell research”. Stem cells are considered the genesis of human life. And with it, it was found out that it can be harvested from women’s menstrual fluid through the process called C’elle. The C’elle stem cell is non-controversial, highly proliferative and can transform into many other stem cell types such as cardiac, neural and bone. According to research, C’elle may have significant potential for future human stem cell therapies to possibly treat life affecting disorders such as diabetes, stroke and heart disease as well as possible anti-aging, burn and wound healing therapies.

So why not invest on the future of medical innovation. As a woman, we know how important life is and saving life is not only in our instinct but within our own genes. As a woman, we create miracles on a monthly basis and we don’t even know it. We produce hundreds of millions of stem cells that may serve as a reservoir for regeneration during our monthly cycle and these just go to waste. But with the aid of C’elle we can collect and preserve these menstrual stem cells which may pay major dividends towards protecting our future health and that of our loved ones, later in life.

Visit http://www.celle.com and find out how we can help protect our lives and the lives of the people we love.
