It’s maybe because the country where I am now is so known to be the most notorious nation when it comes to blocking websites that whenever I can’t access WordPress or other sites, I immediately think that they are blocked.
Right now, I have a difficulty accessing WordPress in a normal way. What I meant by normal way is by typing www.wordpress.com on my browser and hitting the “Enter” key on my keyboard. Rarely does WordPress load quickly when I do this. Most of the time, I have to click on the refresh button several times before WordPress loads. Sometimes, it doesn’t load at all no matter how many times I refresh the page. So I have to wait a few hours before trying again. When I can’t wait, I use free anonymous proxy sites. These sites are very helpful but of course, I can’t work with them as well as when I am able to access WordPress directly.
I have a very good internet connection so I can’t say that I can’t load any site because my connection is slow. So if I can’t access a site by accessing it the normal way and I can access it with out problem when I use porxy, then I take it that site is blocked. Maybe I’m paranoid, whatever.
Sigh! It sucks.
But here is something that doesn’t suck.
I didn’t realize until today that I have a Google Page Rank of 6. Cool!

I just finish posting our new photos and while browsing for more photos to upload I came across these photos. I took these months ago. I remember well, Rene and I were at home just enjoying one weekend afternoon together. At some point, Rene thought of opening the window in the bathroom to let some fresh air in. After just a few hours, I went to the bathroom and this is what I saw!
After a few days we learned that it was not Changchun’s polluted air that caused it. It was a sandstorm in some desert near China. Strong winds carried the fine sand grains all the way to Changchun. Anyway, I should be thankful that it was just in the bathroom. I needed not a long time to vacuum clean it. Poor Birgit and Rene. They left all their windows open so I am pretty much sure that they spent their weekend cleaning their whole flat.
