All The Goodies from Austria

When we travelled back to China from our Christmas holiday in Austria, we were carrying such heavy luggage. Mine was I guess 9 kilos over weight and Marcus’ 6 kilos over weight plus our hand luggage were also way heavier than the allowed weight for hand carries.

I didn’t bring a lot of girly stuff. In fact, I left almost all of my bags, my shoes, and my clothing in Austria. The content of both of our luggage is 80% Austrian goodies. Chocolates, several kinds of salami, cheese, nuts, candies, bread, jams, table napkins (yep, Austria have some really fancy table napkins) and instant things like soups and steak sauces. We also brought stuff like gel (because Marcus refuses to use other brands), creams, and other shower stuff. Then there were also a lot of German magazines and books with us. We would have paid so much for the extra weight of our luggage but because Marcus did a good job at small talking with the airline agents, we passed.

From these, we made an attempted to make an Austrian breakfast. Semeln ( ready-to-bake Austrian bread in a can. We baked it and burned it a little bit too :-p), cheese, fleisch (meat), butter, hot chocolate, fresh tomatoes, and jam. It was cool. We sort of had a little taste of Austria in China.
