Take This Off my Leg

burn.JPGI got this burn from an exhaust pipe of a motorcycle. It happened during our holiday in Langkawi, Malaysia last year. If you’ve been to that place, you’ll know that the number of motorcycles is more than the number of all other kinds of transportation put together. Why, you might ask, is the burn on the back of my left leg? Well you see, it wasn’t our motorcycle that caused this, it was the motorcycle which was parked next to ours. It’s a year later and the burn has healed but it left an awful looking scar. I will not post a picture showing the scar anymore because it’s really awful to look at. I can’t even look at it myself.

I don’t know if I can ever get rid of the scar. I did a lot of remedy early on but I didn’t get the effect I want—the scar is still there and it is shouting “look at me”. It’s terrible. Marcus said if it bothers me that much I can get it professionally removed. I said definitely! I’ll get some sort of cosmetic surgery in Houston Texas, California, Florida or wherever. I’ll definitely get a cosmetic surgery, laser procedure, beauty skin enhancement, skin treatment or whatever they call it.. whatever procedure it needs… I’ll definitely do it just to take this scar off my leg.

I am vain. I know. If you would have this scar, you’ll most probably want to get rid of it too.

hi i so understand how you feel. my boyfriend had just gotten a motorcycle last month. i rode with him one day and as i got off i burned my self on the left leg so i said next time ill get off on the right side. I didnt know he had an exhaust on both sides!!!!! i now have two burns, one on each leg. I hate them sooo much!

i also feel the same way. i burned my right leg way back summer 2006 and the scar is still here. Compared to yours, i think you’d be glad your scar didn’t looked like mine. Mine has a white colored scar and i hate it. Although I’m currently aiding it by the help of a dermatologist. And hoping to get rid of it soon! it’s really a problem when we have outings and out of town trips. I can’t even wear shorts outside.

mine is quite horrible, i had it from a metal and i can;t wear short things now cause i feel shy about it. it is really bad

I felt the same way for awhile… but now i dont even care about the scar. Its ugly, but I wear shorts and whatnot proudly. (Besides I live in Arizona!) I’ve embraced it for now… but I too am vain & will definitely get it removed in the future.

Hey, I had the same thing happen to me too. Only this happened to me three days ago. It gave me a heat blister and a red patch of skin on the inside of my right leg, and the blister keeps popping when I move around when I’m sleeping. I don’t want it to scar. But I have a QUESTION: Does the picture you posted of the scar look like the burn did when you first got the burn? I’m trying to figure out if the burn will look any better as time goes by.

Hey i wen;t to greece a few months ago and got on a motor bike drunk to get a lift home by my friend, i woke up the next day my whole leg in pain as i looked down it was a huge bubble blister and i caught it on my bed and it burst, after 2days it turned green then it went yellow, i tried salt water (swimming in the sea) it made it a little better and now after 4months its a horrible scar and when i press it it still has mild pain. But i don’t care as its a memorie of being a wild youth lol. But iv’e learnt my lesson not to get on a bike drunk again or for that matter in a dress.

The Exhaust burn isn’t that bad. I had this happen to me twice, once when I was 8yr and again 2 wks ago. It’s something you live with, and comes with riding bikes, although you don’t sound like a biker. I wouldn’t get mine removed, especially as far as to go through some medical procedure. It’s a scar. It’s a reminder to respect bikes, and they will respect you back

Don’t worry you will be ok. The same thing happened to where it burn my leg to a crisp after crashing into a tree. It pinned me to the ground and I could not get it off. My cousin and brother had to get it off me but by that time it had become a serious third degree burn. That happened a few years ago, and ironically I was stung by a jelly fish within the next week on the same leg, within inches from the burn. It definitely takes time to heal but there will always be somewhat of a scar.

  12. You people are retarded. She’s asking for a remedy not your fucking burn scar story!!! Stop wasting peoples time! Idiots!

  13. keren says:

they’re trying to give their story so that she could cope up with the dilemma. remedy is go to a plastic surgeon & have it treated.
