I just got back from my German class and right now, I just feel that I had enough of it. I don’t now maybe I am not that smart. I mean really, German is a very difficult language to learn. There’s just no way to go around it. I have to memorize all! Like the table below:

I mean common! In English there’s the word “the” for everything.
I just started to learn french and I also feel to dumb for this language.
The main you should focus on right now is the consistently using the nominative case correctly. I’ve found that that as long as you do that, most people will understand you even if you should, say, be using den instead of der. When you’re learning German vocabulary remember both the word AND whether it’s der, die, or das.
German is a really hard language in the first few semesters of study, but it becomes progressively easier as you advance (which is different from a lot of other languages that get more and more difficult as you learn ‘em).
@ Nemo and Gori
thanks lot you guys!
@ Gori
I have visited your blog and you know… we have one common topic “intercultural marriage and relationship”. I also started a separate blog about it.
I mean to read some of your posts but…er… your entries are too long…. and I have to study so maybe some other day.
thanks for visiting.
@ Nemo
Thank you for coming back.
mmm don’t rush in learning the language.. when u get so pressured in trying to learn the language ur brain would definitely not respond to learning it. u will definitely learn it when u live to ur husband’s place, where everybody is speakin it. u have no choice but to try as much as u can to use every word or phrase till u familiarize and get a big bank of german vocabs. ull just be surprised one day, ure already speakinn in full sentences… hehehe
I used to teach conversational Spanish to adults. Something that I found that helped my students of various ages were words or rather names on stick-it notes. One lady found the name of every piece of furniture in her apartment and stuck a sticky note to it and would walk around constantly reinforcing the names and speaking to herself in Spanish. Really, it comes down to practice practice practice. There are no short cuts and you won’t be an expert the first week. Just keep at it, you’ll find that people can be very helpful when you are trying to learn their language. Really immerse yourself with the language and you will be more comfortable. Don’t fight it, just let it flow within you like a nice bath. You’ll be great. I saw the picture of you and your husband, you’re a very cute couple. Best of luck to you, and remember, I could still use some help understanding those sulking Filipinas.
