A Thought for Every the Mommy

A month is over once again and there are a lot of things looking up for us this May. The big move is approaching very fast and a long holiday is on its way. There are few occasions to look forward too like Marcus’s birthday and Mother’s Day.

Speaking of Mother’s Day, I wonder what I will give my mom this year. If I were with her, I’ll probably take the whole family out to dinner to celebrate this special day but since I live too far from them I’ll just send Mother’s Day flowers and a Mother’s Day card to her to show that I appreciate having her as a mom and that I love her so. I should remind Marcus to do the same for his mom who is also celebrating her 51st birthday soon.

I wonder when it’s my turn to become a mom. How will it be like? Haha. Well, that’s a few years from now so until then I’ll concentrate on being the loving child.

Advance Happy Mother’s to every Mom!

Oppsy!

I think I just broke Marcus’ Nikon D80 camera. I am not sure how it happened but I was the last one to use it last week when I got bored and decided to play dress up. I placed the camera on the stand and took pictures of myself using the remote.

When he took the camera out with him last Sunday, he found out that the lens is not properly working. It was not making auto focus no matter what the mode is. The lens is worth like 800 Euro and it would really suck if it is irreparable it. He took it to the store where we bought it and since it is still under warranty, they agreed to try to fix it for free but he has to wait two weeks until he can have it back.

It sucks! Specially for me because like I said, I was the last one to use it. I believe the camera was still working after I used it so I cannot really explain what happened. Ish!

Quick News

Oh my, it looks like the chance of Marcus getting a job in Shanghai is not so slim like we thought it was!

He got a job offer and now he is waiting for the draft of the contract. After some negotiations, we will then head to Shanghai and we will stay there for two years!

That’s two more years of easy life. Haha. I should maybe go back to school in this time becuase it looks like teaching in Shanghai is not practical. Do some short term course about computers. If I could find a school in Shanghai that offers these kinds of courses and uses English as medium of instruction then I don’t see any reason why I shouldn’t.

Now, I am thrilled.

Artistic Mood or Boredom?

I never thought (and probably never will think) that I am good at drawing but I do like to draw. I remember drawing often in my student years specially when I am in a boring class but I stopped when I started to work. That was like 7 years ago.

Now, I often find myself doodling and making random patterns on loose papers. I don’t know, maybe it’s because I have a lot free time (too much actually) that I started to make sketches again (and do digital scrap booking too!) or maybe I am back to being bored :D .

So anyway, here is my first ever sketch published in a blog (this blog :D ). I plan to post the rest of my sketches in my official blog, ViennaLopez.com, so this will be the first and last time that I will post a sample of my work here.

It’s a woman’s face and she’s nobody in particular.

Blogging Updates

I am trying to work on my main blog, viennalopez.com, because God knows that blog has been neglected for a very long time. I am trying to put some things on it like a gallery showing photos I shoot and a separate gallery showing my sketches. ;) . I like to draw. I have no formal education on Arts but I like drawing.

I have been working on that blog for two days trying to figure out how to put a separate gallery page like what Matt have on his blog (www.ma.tt). No success until now but I will keep trying. I hope that someone will develop a plugin (or is there already?!?) that does this to make it easier for people like me who have too little knowledge on coding and tweaking PHP files.

I also changed the theme and later on, I will change the header for a little personalization.
Once it’s all done, I will start working with blogleafs.com and see what I can do with it.

Meanwhile, posts will come regularly here and in thetwogeeks.com.
