Envy

tiredI enjoyed doing things with my students. Their non- condescending mind-set gave me a break from prejudice and unfair judgment from the cruel world. My students gave me a new sense of confidence in what I do. And I loved to hear their laughter – so unpretentious.

But there were also times that I become impatient of my students. Their non-committal attitude made me envious. Their playfulness and prolific attitude towards things made me jealous. And I wished I was like them – so carefree.

Take Everything to Heart

Both my parents died of heart related diseases. It was devastating. Knowing that it runs in the family, we, their children have to live a healthier life style.

Both my parents died about 10 years ago. During that time, we know nothing about heart ailment. We only take what the doctors told us and accept it. But that was 10 years ago. Now, with the aid of technology, we are lucky that we can do a research about anything including heart disease. There is heartlibrary.com that we can browse if we want to know everything concerning the heart like tachycardia. In an instant, all our questions can be answered. This website has an interactive heart video library that can discuss any of your questions about the heart as if a real doctor is talking to you.

We have only one life and it is our personal responsibility to take care of it. So tell your family, your friends, those people you care for about Heart Library so you can help them. Anyone is prone to heart disease that is why knowledge, precaution, cure and care are important.

Enculturation

danceMy students enjoyed a lot of out of the classroom activities that I introduced to them. I taught Social Studies and I know that this subject is boring if we will stick to the textbook. I hate Social Studies when I was a student. I fell asleep during the class because the teacher just discussed about the war, the dates, and the people I don’t know.

Now that I am the teacher, I know I will also fall asleep if I will use the same teaching methodology. And so I came out with a nice project that my students can participate and be active. Our lesson was about Asian culture. And instead of discussion the different cultures of Asian countries, I asked my student to do a research on their culture. And they came out with different cultural dances of these countries.

It was exciting. It was different. We all had fun.

Kindness Online

Kindness is beyond sympathy. Sympathy is more than understanding other people’s need. Understanding is deeper than knowing what other people feel. And compassion is not just having empathy for other people’s sufferings.

Having to suffer from sickness or diseases are consequences that people need to deal with either with compassion or remorse. For a person who is in that situation, having no resources to be able to deal with the disease is more painful than being sick of the disease. It gives the person a sense of anxiety knowing that he has no means to be able to get the help he needs. And there are lots of those people among us – people who have no income… no insurance… no funds… But then, there is one thing that they do have – hope.

I believe that people are basically good. And there are lots of those people who would give what it takes to be able to help. These kinds of people have big hearts… open arms… huge sense of generosity. They do not only give their time and effort to help people in need but their resources too. These people are called volunteers who raise funds for those people in need.

And with the help of technology, volunteers can take advantage of the internet to raise funds for their charity work. Firstgiving.com is the best and easiest way to raise money online for important non-profit causes for people who have big hearts. This website helps volunteers set up their own Firstgiving page to raise money for any US registered NPO like lupus fundraising, just to name one. This is a great way to help find the cause and cure and to promote awareness for lupus and help people with lupus live better lives.

Firstgiving has helped a lot of people raise millions of dollars for thousand of non-profit organizations. This is a great opportunity to take a big step to promote charity works and help alleviate… improve… and give hope to people in need.

One Aspect of Travel

travelOne of the things I hate about traveling is the packing aspect. I hate packing. I get stressed out when I am packing. I don’t have the talent in packing.

When I pack my things for travel, I always end up packing things that I don’t need. And those that I need, I always left it at home. That is why I cannot travel light. That is why I end up with a bad back. That is why I hate packing.

But I learned some important tricks and suggestions  on travelling light. I was able to create a checklist of all the things that I need in my travel. This method helps me a lot to decide which important things I need to bring to my travel. This method helps me pack only the necessities and that helps my bad back a lot. This method helps me travel light.

Now I enjoy packing just as much as I enjoy traveling.

The Other Aspect of our European Tour

My girlfriends and I love travelling. We like going to different places to experience different sceneries, people, and culture. We shared a lot of happy memories in different places we went to. We enjoyed each other’s company visiting different interesting locations and beautiful spots.

When my girlfriends and I travel, we usually rent a car to go to different places because it was more convenient. We could stop anytime on the road if we want to take pictures or simply needed a trip to the nearest restroom.

When my girlfriends and I went to France last summer, we booked with Argus Car Hire France for our transportation arrangement. It was the easiest way to deal with road trips because Argus takes the legwork for our city and out-of-town tours through its low cost car hire in France. It was really a good deal aside from being very convenient, affordable, and reliable. Argus Car Hire has cheap rates and extensive choice of locations all over France that will give you the freedom to explore France at your own leisure and pace.

My girlfriends and I spent only a week in France and we plan to go back and visit the places that we really wanted to see [if we will not get stuck again in shopping]. When we go back to France, I am sure that Argus’ car will be a part of that experience again.

The Classroom

The classroom is the venue for acquiring knowledge. As a teacher, I see to it that my classroom has the necessary tools needed to aid the teaching-learning process. I see to it that my students use the tools for its purpose.

The classroom is the place to carry out instruction. When I was a student, most of the learning took place in the classroom. My teacher saw to it that the classroom was always in tip-top shape for the next class.

Having been both a student and a teacher, I found out that education can also take place outside the classroom. There are lessons learned from basic daily life experiences and these lessons learned have more impact from the lessons learned from textbooks.

Life in itself is a teaching-learning process.

The Home away from Home this Summer

During summer, Hubby and I like going out-of-town on weekends. He is a scuba diver and he loves the sea… the sand… and the sunset. I am no scuba diver but I love the sun… the spa… and the shopping.

This summer, since it will be our first wedding anniversary, Hubby and I are planning to go on our second honeymoon out-of-the-country. We plan to go down south to celebrate this special occasion.

Since, it is almost summer, it will be nice to plan for our next vacation. When planning for a vacation, we usually surf the net and book online. It’s the most convenient way for us to make the necessary vacation plan we have in mind. Then we discovered Las Palomas Rocky Pointfrom Oceano Rentals website. It offers Rocky Point real estate’s list of vacation rental homes, luxury homes and condos with beach front views of the Sea of Cortez. These vacation homes for rent have fully equipped kitchens and Satellite TV. It’s just like a [beachfront] home away from home.
