My students enjoyed a lot of out of the classroom activities that I introduced to them. I taught Social Studies and I know that this subject is boring if we will stick to the textbook. I hate Social Studies when I was a student. I fell asleep during the class because the teacher just discussed about the war, the dates, and the people I don’t know.
Now that I am the teacher, I know I will also fall asleep if I will use the same teaching methodology. And so I came out with a nice project that my students can participate and be active. Our lesson was about Asian culture. And instead of discussion the different cultures of Asian countries, I asked my student to do a research on their culture. And they came out with different cultural dances of these countries.
It was exciting. It was different. We all had fun.
