This news really shook me and made me think again about having a baby while we are here. Initially, we agreed to wait two years after our wedding for a baby and that was a year ago. It means, we only have another year to wait but the problem is… Marcus signed a two-year contract to work here in Shanghai. Technically, we can have a baby here. It will still go with our plan but hearing such news scares the hell out of me….maybe it is wiser to wait a little bit longer until we’re finally settled in Europe.

My niece is having tough times in school this year. She hates her new teacher. She wants to quit school and she plans to take a long vacation for now. She is only 10 years old. Well, who loves school anyway? I didn’t like school when I was that age too. My teacher was not the most likeable person in the whole world and I hated her too. Hubby came home with a bag full of apples. He bought it for only 6$. He bought it for the deer [to lure them in the backyard] and for us, of course. I’m not really crazy about apples. It’s not my favorite fruit in the whole world. And I can live without it. But if there is anything I like about apple… it’s apple picking season. I love picking apples from the tree. The experience is amazing for me the first time I did it last year. Now it is apple picking season again and I look forward to go to the orchards to pick my own apples from the trees.

Professional Driver

Now, I understand why my MIL is always grumpy when she comes home from work. She is a volunteer driver for a transportation company. Her work is to drive people around to go to places. She would pick them up from their homes and bring them to places where they need to go to and pick them up back and bring them back home. She would be driving 300 miles a day at the most.
Today, I drove in the city for the entire day. I tried to familiarize myself with the city traffic. If only it’s not a necessity I wouldn’t really do it. I’m beat. I realized I can never be driver. I realized that I cannot be a professional driver. I realized that there is no way I can take driving as a career. It’s tiring. It’s crazy. It’s driving me crazy, quite literally.

A WordCamp will be happening on Sunday here in Shanghai and the keynote speaker is Mr. WordPress himself–Matt Mullenweg. I am dying to attend the event. I didn’t know about it until yesterday and I am glad that it is not over yet. I still have the chance to join the event.
I have emailed the organizers of WorldCamp Shanghai but until now I don’t have their reply yet. Could it be that the tickets are sold out? I won’t be surprised if it they are but I am hoping that there is still one left for me. I really want to go.
