I got an eye check up just a few weeks ago in Austria. I did it there because I was a little bit doubtful about the results of my eye check-ups here. When I got a different eyeglass prescription last August from that of last June, I thought… hey, there must be some mistake—my eyes can’t go that bad in a month.
So when I had the chance to see an eye doctor in Austria, I had my eyes checked and guess what. I got a stronger eyeglass prescription! Wow, my eyes are deteriorating really fast. I tried to find out why by reading articles in the internet about it and I learned somewhere that in some cases glasses and contact lenses are not the best for the eyes. People who stay too long in front of computers (like me) find their visions getting blur but that is because the eyes get tired and the mistake these people do is to immediately wear glasses (that’s what I did) and this is wrong. I’ve learned that eyeglasses make the eyes lazy. The eyes become dependent on the glasses. They no longer have to work hard to do what they do—focus.
So now, I am trying NOT to use my glasses when it’s not really necessary like when I go out during daytime. Everything is blurred but it’s not like I am blind. I also stop wearing glasses when I work on my computer and I try hard to maintain a good distance between my screen and my face. I also try to look away from my computer every now and then. This helps relieve eye stress (according to what I’ve read).
It’s just a week since I started this and I don’t know if it will work but I am willing to do anything to get a better vision because I do hate wearing glasses and contact lenses.
