What is Page Rank?

To simply put it, Page Rank is being used by Google to measure the importance of you page (blog). It is from 0-10, 10 being the highest. If your blog is new, you normally have a PR of N/A of PR 0. This is because there no other pages linking to your blog yet so it’s best to exchange links (Blogroll links) with other people.

There are a lot of articles written about Page Rank already and I cannot explain it better than the others so I am not about to write another article about it instead, I will direct you to the best definitions of Page Rank. When you plan to use your blog to earn some money, it’s important to understand Page Rank or, at least, have an idea of how it works. The reason why a lot of advertisers pay bloggers to write about their products and link to them is because they want to appear on the top of search results. In short, they want to manipulate the search results and that is of course NOT OK for Google. It is also important for you to understand that Google is against selling links and sponsored posts. These ruin Googles’ search results so if Google thinks that you use your blog for sponsored posts or link selling; it will give you a PR 0.
