I am a very sentimental person and I know that this is the trait that stops me from throwing away things. I do keep old tickets and old candy wrappers if they mean something to me. Once, my mom told me that I am like a witch with all the unnecessary stuff in my bedroom.
The bouquets in the picture, for example, show how I can’t seem to let go of things. They are dry and…well, they don’t look nice anymore but I refused to throw them away. I got these from my husband and each bouquet reminds me of an important occasion but then there was a time when we needed to move out of our flat. That means I needed to throw away some things. My husband told me that I would be crazy if I would bring these old bouquets and yeah, I also realized that it is just so impractical to pack them and bring them with us. So I left them there in my old office room but not without, keeping some of their dried petals in a small box. I have this small box with me now and along with it are my other collections of small memories.
