I was just visiting and reading a site where people can share and read each other’s phone call stories. They expose the numbers of their callers and tell people what to expect from such numbers. One woman there said that she got a call from unknown number and the person on the other end of the line claimed that she is with her (the receiver of the call) husband. That’s a little bit funny to me but some reports are not to be ignored. Like a call from a number owned by a child molester. So if you are getting weird calls, maybe you can share it in this site or maybe you’ll learn that the number of your caller has been previously reported by others already. Check out www.reportphonenumbers.com to read more.

Lesson Learned
I was introduced to two Irish women, Emily and Tina, last week and we instantly warmed up to each other. They are sisters and Emily is the girlfriend of Marcus’ friend and colleague, Henry. Henry is British so Tina kept teasing them about how it’s a miracle that they can stay together because Irish and Brits hate each other too much.
Tina is like a bird. She can’t stop to tweet and she got this really high pitched voice that can be irritating to hear but I like listening to her because she has a really good sense of humor. So anyway, while we were having our break from shopping, I asked why Emily said something like “I work in UK and I live in Dublin”. Isn’t Dublin a part of UK? Isn’t Ireland a part of UK?
And then Tina, said …. “Oh no,no, no. Vienna, if you have to learn one thing, learn this. Ireland is its own country. Forget everything else but that.” And she said that in a really funny way with all the face and eye expressions. And she kept on and on about how the Brits took a big portion of their land, copied their culture and their language, killed a lot of their leaders, etc.
It was an interesting day with them. I had fun and I learned some things. I do hope I can spend more time with them but they are flying back to Ireland in a few days. They did invite us to visit them in Ireland and I think it would be cool if we can go there someday because Ireland is definitely an interesting place to see.

This Halloween
I dropped by at the department store to pick up a few things awhile ago and I noticed that a bunch of people were gathering in one lane of the store. I went closer to check what it was all about only to find out that there’s an ongoing sale of Halloween costumes and I realized that it’s almost Halloween! It’s not as special as Christmas or Valentine’s Day but Halloween is a famous holiday for fun and parties. I am sure that a lot of kids out there are looking forward trick-or-treating with their friends. I remember having so much fun doing the same when I was a kid. The candies were sweet but I always secretly hoped that we were doing the tricks instead because it was more fun.
But Halloweens are for adults too and now that I am an adult, I would prefer getting Halloween treats Like the one shown in the picture. A fresh mum plant, delicious candy corn and an adorable plush character, from somebody will be super nice. And of course I’ll make it sure to send out some treats too.
Bridging
I finally got the chance to take a weekend break from blogging. It was not really very special but at least I was able to breathe in fresh air and pig-out on all-pinoy-food and catch up with the latest news with my friend Medy. After being entertained by Maya’s crazy antics [Medy’s 3-year old daughter] taking a walk was the best option not to get indigestion from over-eating.
As usual we went to that same bridge where we love crossing on foot. At this time of the year, it is simply amazing. Fall brings a magnificent effect on the landscape and we just love the sight. We didn’t care about those cars crossing the bridge because the view is too imposing to notice other things.
More Reliable than Her Ex
My friend called me last week. She has problems with her car. She needs a new one because the old one needs to retire permanently now. It has been more than 15 years old and has served her more faithfully than her ex-husband did. LOL. Anyway, the only problem is that she has no money to pay for the new car.
So as usual, I went online to find out how to help her and googled on Car Loans. There I found CompleteLoanSource.com, an online one stop shop for loans and other credit related services such as Cash Advance, Auto, Personal, Payday Loans and others. CompleteLoanSource.com provides nationwide online financial services to people who are in need of financial assistance.
My friend didn’t have a hard time obtaining the car loan she needs. My friend applied online without hassle. Application was free of charge and easy. Now, my friend has a new car and can go to work without problem. Indeed, CompleteLoanSource.com is more reliable than her ex-husband. [That's according to her. hahahahaha]
Something We Should Know About Ruth Parasol
Ruth Parasol, as many of you might have heard, is a self-made billionaire known for being a founding member of the largest online gaming community but many of us don’t know that Ruth Parasol is also a strong believer of philanthropy.
In fact, she is the person behind Bonita Trust—an independent charity found on the mission to enrich Gibraltar community. From the time it was founded, Bonita Trust has grown and at the moment it is extending its mission to other countries like India.
Initially, Bonita Trust launched programs of endowments to educational, cultural, health and community projects in Gibraltar. Now, Bonita Trust is making significant donations to give free reconstructive surgery and treatment to underprivileged children in India who have cleft lip and cleft palate. Bonita Trust also has other programs like raising funds for specialist tuition for dyslexic children and for skin cancer awareness campaigns.
Ruth Parasol is among those women who use their success to help other people in need and we can learn a lot from her. We don’t have to be billionaires to reach out and help the communities we live in. I am sure that any kind of help, big or small, from each and every one of us can sum up to great things.
Cool Gift
I received a call from my friend a couple of weeks back. She is inviting me to her daughter’s 16th birthday. She is her one and only child and we are all excited about the whole birthday thingy. I love birthday parties. I love to see the glow in the birthday celebrants’ eyes when they opened the gifts. And so I searched in the internet for some gift ideas for this sweet sixteener.
Then, I stumbled upon BabyPhat.com and checked out their Baby Phat Jackets. The jacket is a nice gift for my friend’s daughter since it’s almost fall now. And I got a real good deal on the jacket – I bought it 50% off. BabyPhat.com offers a lot of cool things to buy online at reasonable price. So, the next time you think of special gifts to special someone… think Baby Phat.
