Like I mentioned in one of my earlier posts, I really would like to go back to reading books. I think it’s about time I lessen the time I spend sitting in front of my computer. So yesterday after our dinner in a nearby German restaurant, we dropped by this small bookstore that sells foreign language books. I was so delighted when I saw Khaled Hosseini’s “A Thousand Splendid Suns” that I took it immediately to the cashier. I read Hosseini’s first novel, “the Kite Runner” and I remember crying buckets while reading it.

I still have some books waiting on the line to be read. I also have some German books I got from my husband. He bought these to encourage my interest in the German language. But the German books can wait. First I have to read “A Thousand Splendid Suns”.

One thing that my mom and I share is our interest in Cher. I remember us dancing like crazy while singing “if I could turn back time…” My mom learned and started to love Cher in her early 20s and a few decades later, I followed. I admired Cher because other than being one of the best female artists of the century, her beauty doesn’t seem to fade! She still has the sparkle in her huge sexy eyes and she still got that smooth and flawless skin.
