Our Simple Anniversary

We celebrated our one year of being married together on a plane. Yep. I was so angry at Marcus when he unthinkingly booked our flights from Vienna to Shanghai on the evening of October 12 (GMT +1:00) so technically we were on air when October 13 happened.

So I didn’t expect too much from the beginning. We agreed to just celebrate it a day earlier so on October 12, we went to a nice place for lunch and after that, we revisited the villa where we got married. We spent a quiet afternoon there and at 5:00 pm we drove to the airport.

For me that was our anniversary.

But on the 13th while on the plane, we were served with a very special wine. Afterwards, a warm “Congratulations” from the pilot and the flight crew was heard from the voice over. The whole plane cheered for us and asked that we kiss and so we did. :)

(More details to come).

Tips on Choosing a Wedding Dress

One of the most important decisions you will make when planning your wedding is selecting the perfect wedding gown. You’ll be faced with numbers and numbers of wedding dresses making it more difficult for you to choose “the one”. So here are few tips on choosing the perfect wedding dress for brides-to-be.

bestbridalprices.jpg1. Have plenty of time. Technically you can get married a few days after your engagement but why the rush? Forget about spontaneity and impulsiveness. Plan! Consider it as a one time thing in your life so it should be really really special. Planning a wedding and rummaging through bridal dresses can take a lot of time so be sure that you have plenty of it.

2. Have plenty of choices. Don’t decide immediately. Try as many wedding gown as you can and then try to narrow down your choices as you go until you finally settle on the best one.

3. Have at least one sincere and honest person with you when choosing a wedding gown. Sure, you have a taste but comments and criticism from others can be very helpful.

4. Consider the bridesmaid dresses when choosing your wedding dress because it’s important that your wedding dress will make you stand out from the rest.

So there you go. Good luck in your quest and you may directly start looking at BestBridalPrices.com for the perfect wedding dress.

Fall is Here

fallI turn on my computer every morning upon waking up. It is the very first task I do every morning as I jump out of the bed before I go straight to the bathroom. It’s out of habit or maybe because I depend so much on my computer on almost everything like… checking the time… the weather… my bank account and what not. After my regular early morning trip to the bathroom I would sit on my computer and do the drill.

Today, my weather bug says… it’s officially the start of Fall season. It means a lot. It means that “summer” is over… it means that “winter” is just around the corner… it also means that I need to clean up the clutter and start bringing out my fall/winter totes and put my summer clothes in its totes to keep it in the cellar until it’s time to bring it out again.

How Do You Like Your Eggs?

PhotobucketI have a headache. I am not feeling really good today. And to top it all, we ran out of eggs. Yes, eggs! It’s a big deal. You may find it unimportant but for me it’s a big deal. Hubby can’t have breakfast without eggs. Egg is a basic thingy on his breakfast. And he only wants it one way… over easy.

Before I came to Maine, the only things I know about eggs are… hard boiled, scrambled or sunny-side up. So imagine my shock when the waitress asked him the first time we dined out for breakfast… how do you like your eggs? He said… over easy. Since then, I would never make eggs any other way. For him, it’s always over easy… real runny… and no catsup.

Who’s Driving Me Crazy Now?

PhotobucketI cleaned my car this morning. I vacuumed. I polished. I wiped. It’s a once a month ritual actually. But last month I didn’t do it. I was lazy to do it. You see, my Hubby is the one driving my car more often since I still don’t have my Driver’s License yet and because my car is 36 mpg it saves us more money on gas.

He drives it to work but he drives me crazy. He drives me crazy because he keeps a lot of garbage in it… sandwich, chocolate and chips wrappers… empty soda bottles… lunch paper bags… crumpled papers and what not. That trash never made it to the garbage bin unless I do it myself.

Well, there is a good side to it anyway. My hubby would never ever throw anything outside the car window. That is why whenever I go for a run and see empty bottles, wrappers and what not along the ditch… I know for sure that my Hubby did not do it. He will never be caught littering.

Apples for the Deer and the Dear Ones

applesHubby came home with a bag full of apples. He bought it for only 6$. He bought it for the deer [to lure them in the backyard] and for us, of course. I’m not really crazy about apples. It’s not my favorite fruit in the whole world. And I can live without it. But if there is anything I like about apple… it’s apple picking season. I love picking apples from the tree. The experience is amazing for me the first time I did it last year. Now it is apple picking season again and I look forward to go to the orchards to pick my own apples from the trees.

Hubby and His Old Truck

truckMy Hubby finally got his truck back. He has been working on it for 6 long months. It’s an old truck about more than 10 years old. He loves it so much and that is not debate-able. I can’t get jealous. At least it’s not a woman… if you know what I mean because he spent more time with it.

I just don’t know why he can’t give up on that old truck. He bought me a new car which I hardly use and kept on repairing the old truck instead. Somebody told me it’s a “male thing”, I won’t understand. So it’s a male thing alright. Now they are out again hunting… he and his old truck. Sweet!
