High Fashion at Low Cost

One acquaintance once told me that if she would have the money she’d dress up better. That is simply a wrong principle when it comes to fashion. One doesn’t have to buy expensive clothes to be nicely dressed. One simply has to learn where to find discount fashion.

With this so, I’s tell you about a store that offers everything for 17.97$ or less. This store offers great clothing for really cheap prices! Take the fashionable tops on the picture for example. Each of these perfect for casual everyday tops wear cost only 17.97$.

Tips on Choosing a Wedding Dress

One of the most important decisions you will make when planning your wedding is selecting the perfect wedding gown. You’ll be faced with numbers and numbers of wedding dresses making it more difficult for you to choose “the one”. So here are few tips on choosing the perfect wedding dress for brides-to-be.

bestbridalprices.jpg1. Have plenty of time. Technically you can get married a few days after your engagement but why the rush? Forget about spontaneity and impulsiveness. Plan! Consider it as a one time thing in your life so it should be really really special. Planning a wedding and rummaging through bridal dresses can take a lot of time so be sure that you have plenty of it.

2. Have plenty of choices. Don’t decide immediately. Try as many wedding gown as you can and then try to narrow down your choices as you go until you finally settle on the best one.

3. Have at least one sincere and honest person with you when choosing a wedding gown. Sure, you have a taste but comments and criticism from others can be very helpful.

4. Consider the bridesmaid dresses when choosing your wedding dress because it’s important that your wedding dress will make you stand out from the rest.

So there you go. Good luck in your quest and you may directly start looking at BestBridalPrices.com for the perfect wedding dress.

Dressing Up for Autumn

I have to admit that it is a little bit difficult for me—a tropical girl—to pair up clothes for autumn. This is not my first autumn but I still didn’t learn how to properly dress up for it.

For regular autumn day, I think I can manage—jeans, sweater, and jackets. That is basic. But you see, we’ll be flying tomorrow to Austria and we are attending this party on Saturday evening. How will I dress for a semi-formal party in autumn?

vienna-autumn.JPG

It’s easy to dress up for summer and winter but for spring and autumn? I find it difficult to look for autumn clothes because for one, I don’t like their colors. For this year’s autumn, it seems that the “in” color is purple and all its darker shades. Iw! Other options are gray, brown, maroon, beige, and black.—how bleak! And another reason is that temperature here in Shanghai is still warm so I don’t see a lot of stores selling autumn clothes yet and we don’t exactly have the luxury of time to shop when we arrive in Austria.

So… I don’t know. I only have today to look for something “nice” (as Marcus describes it) and if I can’t he just have to bear going to the party with me wearing what I think is good enough to keep me warm.

Something We Should Know About Ruth Parasol

Ruth Parasol, as many of you might have heard, is a self-made billionaire known for being a founding member of the largest online gaming community but many of us don’t know that Ruth Parasol is also a strong believer of philanthropy. ruth_parasol.jpgIn fact, she is the person behind Bonita Trust—an independent charity found on the mission to enrich Gibraltar community. From the time it was founded, Bonita Trust has grown and at the moment it is extending its mission to other countries like India.

Initially, Bonita Trust launched programs of endowments to educational, cultural, health and community projects in Gibraltar. Now, Bonita Trust is making significant donations to give free reconstructive surgery and treatment to underprivileged children in India who have cleft lip and cleft palate. Bonita Trust also has other programs like raising funds for specialist tuition for dyslexic children and for skin cancer awareness campaigns.

Ruth Parasol is among those women who use their success to help other people in need and we can learn a lot from her. We don’t have to be billionaires to reach out and help the communities we live in. I am sure that any kind of help, big or small, from each and every one of us can sum up to great things.

Weighing the Issue

scaleI was ecstatic this morning when I suddenly decided to finally step on the weighing scale. You see, I have never checked my weight for more than a month now. I lost the interest because every time I stepped on the scale, my weight is still the same if not getting heavier each day I checked it. And the hard fact is that, I never stopped going for a run everyday and watched what I eat or shall I say I even skipped eating sometimes and still I am gaining weight.

I was ecstatic this morning when I saw the numbers on the scale. I lost 20 pounds. And the hard truth is that, I stopped going for a run… never watched what I eat or shall I say I was on a “seefood diet” [translation: eat-all-the-food-I-see diet… so the spelling is not wrong] and yet I lost 20 pounds.

I was ecstatic this morning… so please… don’t tell me that the scale is broken.

My New Scrappy Thingy

brideI mentioned in my previous post that I am into scrapbooking now. Well, guess what? I was a bit carried away by my excitement and I already made 7 scrapbook pages in just 3 days. And as if that is not enough, I also set up another or shall I say… NEW BLOG just for my scrapbook thingy… and I am calling that blog… SCRAPPY THINGY.

And about that new “Blogging Community” that I am talking about… I am so excited about it but I don’t know if I have the blessing to write about it just yet because I don’t know if the creator and website designer has any specific plan of introducing it in blogosphere. And in that case, I don’t want to preempt her plans. But trust me… you will surely hear it here in… My Pink Notes.

So here you go… I want to share here one of my creations. Hope you like it.

Avoid Wedding Dress Disaster

bestbridalprices.jpgMy friend, Mary, and I were chatting last night and she mentioned that she just got married. I couldn’t believe my ears! I know she has a boyfriend but I wasn’t expecting that they’d get married that soon. She sounded so happy all throughout our voice chat and I can tell that she’s still in cloud nine. She showed me some of her wedding pictures and I was like… wow! The wedding looks so lovely. Perfect setting, perfect wedding dresses, and perfect weather. I told her that she’s lucky to have it all but then she told me that it seems to be perfect and it is actually almost perfect but there was one problem. All bridesmaid dresses were done perfectly but her wedding gown was not done according to how she likes it. She told me she cried about it but she was not able to do anything anymore because they didn’t have that much time. To me her wedding dress is not looking bad at all but of course, I understand that every bride wants it to be done perfectly according to how she likes it.

After “rushing”, two mistakes one can commit when planning the wedding are “not being resourceful” and “not having alternatives”. You should give yourself  ample time before the wedding date and you should not limit yourself to only one option because there are a lot of ways to get wedding ideas, wedding services and bridal dresses. The internet is always a good place to start and websites such BestBridalPrices.com should be checked before deciding on what wedding gown to buy. At BestBridalPrices.com, you’ll have a wider option on wedding dresses from different designers. You’ll find the most enchanting wedding gowns from the simplest o the most extravagant design.s Just always remember that the key to the perfect wedding is enough time for the preparations and always have alternatives.

1st Wedding Anniversary Gift

Ten months ago, we got married so that means in two months, we’ll have our first year anniversary and being the nice wife that I am (haha), I am already thinking of what I could give Marcus on our first wedding anniversary.

red-shoe.jpgI am not the kind to give expensive gifts. For Marcus, I think the most expensive gift I ever gave to him is the Nikon camera flash. Normally, I give something that is intimate and personal. I won’t go into details now but just to give you an idea… ummm…in one occasion, I gave him a pair of red 6 inch high heeled shoes—the strappy kind. It wasn’t for him to wear, It was for me (*wink).

For our first year wedding anniversary, I am thinking of giving him a lap dance. How’s that? Haha. I wish I can make a lap dance but maybe not this time because I am not so comfortable with my body right now. I was 7 kilos overweight two months ago and I don’t think I can shed the extra 5 kilos before October plus he must be EXTRA nice to get a lap dance (haha) so I have to think of something else.

Suggestions, anyone?
