I have lot of gay friends who are teachers in China and 99% of them are quite comfortable showing who they really are. Many of them are really successful and some even met the love of their lives while being there.The Chinese people wont mind at all if you talk and act like a gay person but I guess they will be not comfortable if you come to class wearing women’s clothes and make up (pretty much like in our country). Also dating students and minors is strictly prohibited but i think you know that already.

Going to China is an exciting adventure. Good luck to you!

Hi, thank you so much for this blog. I found it funny and interesting. I just have a question, I’ll be flying to China this February to teach English. However I have a big problem because I know that China is not as open like Phils. with regards to homosexuality, I am gay and it’s really obvious through my voice and action. Isn’t it dangerous I mean is there any big serious problem with regards to this? I am hoping for your response as soon as possible before I fly. I Fully agree. Online shopping is a great help for us busy Moms. It really is a helping hand. I did a lot of online shopping. (D’s upcoming Bday + etc.) To be honest, I like it. Nagkamali na rin ako once, dahil sa size, pro you can exchange it any time. Mine, ay di kona pina palit kasi akala ko ay un ang magiging motivator ko to lose some weight pro di pala. (hahaha) Til now ay di ko pa nasuot un binili kong dress online. Online shopping is a very convenient way of shopping, but like you said. Kaylangan tlga mag ingat..:-) Happy shopping mars!
