Mt. Pinatubo Expedition
Finally, I was able to climb Mt. Pinatubo. I mean, it is very near our place but I never got the chance to see it until recently. Looks like Mt. Pinatubo is becoming popular among tourists and adventurers. There were a lot of foreigners we’ve met along the way.
We started that day a little bit later than planned because we slept too long. We drove to the nearest neighbourhood to Mr. Pinatubo and there we registered in this small government office. We needed to pay for one of those jeeps while big wheels (hehehe don’t know exactly what to call them). They cost 2,500PHP. Then we also have to pay for a guide (500PHP), toll fee for road they call skyway (500), and passes—50PHP each for mom, dad and, me (because we are locals) and for Marcus they asked him to pay 1,150PHP. On the way, he kept saying that he cannot believe how big the difference he needed to pay all because he is a foreigner and that he felt that there was a little bit of racism going on. Haha!
