A Time to Keep Old Memories Alive

By Ruthi | June 9, 2008

I grew up with my Nana and Grandpa. I lived with them until I was in High School. I loved their old house. I had lots of good memories in there while I was growing up. I remember that there was this huge grandfather clock that sits in the corner of the entrance hall. When I was still a kid I was afraid of it because of one horror movie that I watched with my brothers. And everytime it will make that creepy sound I would run to my bedroom. Then after HS I left for college and moved to the city. And everytime I would come home I would still see that grandfather clock but it didn’t scare me no more. When my grandparents died, my uncles sold the grandfather clock in an antique shop. I was sad to hear about that.

Now that I have my own family, and looking forward to moving to our own house, a grandfather clock is the first thing in my list. I need to own one. I want something just like my Nana’s. Good thing I bumped into this website for clocks where they have a huge stock of grandfather clocks that you could imagine. I like this Howard Miller grandfather clock because it looks just like the one my Nana had in her old house. And it was on sale. I could imagine placing it in the entrance hallway of our new house so that anybody who would make a grand entrance… my grandfather clock will make a grand statement. It will surely fit nicely in the interior design of our new house and our home décor will have an elegant look which is my real goal.
