Closer Than Ever
Being away from home for more than a year, I can say that I don’t really miss home. Don’t get me wrong. I kinda miss home but I have a different explanation for that. You see, when I was still in the Philippines, I was practically home alone. Both of my parents already passed away and I only have 2 brothers. One who was staying in Pampanga with his family at that time and the youngest who stays in Manila where he works. He only came home on weekends or when his itinerary was not too hectic. So I seldom saw and talked to them.
Now that I am 10,000 miles away from home I talk to my brothers more often. I see and talk to my younger brother almost everyday and my other brother who is now based in China at least once a week. Thanks to modern technology. It does bring people from different parts of the world closer than I could imagine.
