sense of style

It’s been a while since I started contemplating on what direction I should steer this blog to.  I picked up niches for my other blogs and I want to do the same for this blog.

Once I toyed with the idea of making this to a personal style blog, because I am really inspired by my two favorite personal style bloggers, whatiwore.tumblr.com and kendieveryday.blogspot.com. I know I can’t be famous like them (even too shy to link up to them), but it would be nice to have a blog where I can also showcase my sense of fashion.

BUT.

Who am I kidding? I am not a fashionista. I am a wash-and-wear-kind-of-girl. I think that if I would be working in the fashion world, I would be one of those working in the background. Like the one who holds the camera reflectors in a photo shoot. LOL. But seriously though, there is also a girly part of me that wishes that I had some sort of “style” to showcase.

OR.

Maybe I just want to have a personal style blog not because I want to express my sense of fashion but because I am passionate about blogging and if could write about every niche, I would. LOL. Personal style is a very nice niche, if only my friend, Lamielle, lives nearby, I’d team up with her because she’s always dress to kill. She’ll be the model and I’ll be the photographer—not a bad idea since I also like photography.  That would be cool!!!

I am just thinking out loud. I like fashion and I do wish I could put a bit more enthusiam in dressing myself up BUT most of the time, I just can’t see the point. They say fashion is about looking great in clothes while feeling good. Well, I feel good in jeans and tees. Whether I look great or not is a question. LOL.

Anyway, the bottom line is; I am a girl, so I do like to dress up sometimes. And if today will be a dress up day for me, I’d wear something like this:

www.msmyla.polyvore.com

Cute polka dot red dress and black sophisticated pumps. Red lipstick to make my full lips stand out and turquoise purse and accessories! Lovin’ turquoise right now…like.. it can go with just about any color.

Someday, I’ll start a personal style blog. Right now, My Pink Notes will have to stay like it is—a blog about my thoughts on things.

Cheers to Blogxi!

I was long gone but during our holiday in Austria, I always tried to check Blogxi as much as I can and I am pretty happy that there are some serious bloggers who signed up there. One blog I constantly read and eagerly wait for updates is “I Love Sterndal”. It became immediately my favorite because I can always sense sincerity and honesty in it. The author of the blog is someone I don’t personally know but looks like we are going to be good online friends. She seems like a nice simple Filipina girl and I think she’s pretty smart.

D Brain Hailing Job” is also one hell of a personal blog and though I know the author is not a student from UP, he really sounds to be so. I think he can write for the “Young Blood”—a compilation of cool writings from college students.

Another frank and honest personal blog is the “Journal Logger”. Here you’ll read about the life of “Abby”—a mom to “Princess Vav” and a wife who works overseas. Be lost in her insightful views of life, be entertained, and be uplifted.

Ruthi, who you surely already know, also has a blog in Blogxi. “Scrappy Thingy” shows her collection of Haikus and scrap books. That woman has around 10 blogs! I don’t know how she manages everything. All I know is that she can manage everything well.

Blogxi’s blog should also be updated soon—that’s my job and I am really sorry if I can’t update it as often as I like. “Penny Wise” should also be updated soon! Urg! I have other blogs in line needing new entries and I don’t know where to start! I mean really?!? Ruthi must be a superwoman!

Blogging Sickness

glassI’m still not in a blogging mode by as what they say – you got to do what you got to. So here I am. For a couple of weeks I was tied on my other blogs redesigning, re-lay-outing, re-installing and re-what-not. And blogging just didn’t have any place in my wicked hectic schedule because my mind wasn’t functioning the way it should be too. I was in total blogging-coma and needed ICU to get better.

Oh well, bloggers do get sick too. But I feel better now. Now that I was able to do the things that need special attention. Now, I am blogging again though it will take awhile to rewire my brain to thinking topics and issues that are worth writing about at least I was able to make my fingers work on the keyboard again… and that is a good start.

My New Scrappy Thingy

brideI mentioned in my previous post that I am into scrapbooking now. Well, guess what? I was a bit carried away by my excitement and I already made 7 scrapbook pages in just 3 days. And as if that is not enough, I also set up another or shall I say… NEW BLOG just for my scrapbook thingy… and I am calling that blog… SCRAPPY THINGY.

And about that new “Blogging Community” that I am talking about… I am so excited about it but I don’t know if I have the blessing to write about it just yet because I don’t know if the creator and website designer has any specific plan of introducing it in blogosphere. And in that case, I don’t want to preempt her plans. But trust me… you will surely hear it here in… My Pink Notes.

So here you go… I want to share here one of my creations. Hope you like it.

Between Blogging and Scrapbooking

hip

I am feeling crafty all week. And I am thinking of doing my scrapbooking to the next level. But this I know will be another major decision that I have to make. With 2 new blogs (Changing Seasons and Ruthilicious) I recently added to my already growing blog family, I am having a second thought because this cool scrapbooking website (Scrapbooking Fair) that I recently signed up with will surely take more of my time and away from my blogging schedule.

But then, knowing myself, nobody can stop me doing new things and so, maybe in a couple of days, I would come up with an effective time management program that I could adapt to manage my time between chores, blogging and scrapbooking.

Nagging Thoughts and Changing Seasons

computerI came up with a new blog again. Yes, my new blog is called “changing seasons”. It is all about… changing seasons [what lease?] hahaha. This new blog is barely a-week old and now I am thinking of coming up with another one.

Yes. Another one! I don’t know about other people… but I think I am already a blog-addict, whatever that means. This new blog that I am talking about will be used as a tool to bring back ties that I used to have with my former students. You can read the details about it in my other blog… nagging thoughts.

Note: This new blog that I am planning to create is still in the drawing board and not yet finalized. I am still doing the survey if this is a good idea. What do you think?

The More the Merrier

changing seasonI promised that I will not make another blog after Vienna helped me set up Ruthilicious. I promised I will not make another blog because the process that I went through with Ruthilicious was traumatic enough that made me sick of blogging for a day or two. I promised that I will not make another blog because my 6 [or so... I already lost count] other blogs are all being neglected because I have no time anymore for them. Sadly, I wasn’t able to keep my promise.

I have another blog…. Changing Seasons which will feature everything about my new “home”, Maine. And just like a new baby being born… I am again so excited and so focused on it. Well, my family every growing. The saying… “the more the merrier” best fits my current situation.
