The Problem with Smorty

I have constantly advertise Smorty for free in all my blogs. I constantly mentioned them. Sure, I made two sponsored posts about Smorty in some of my blogs but I also gave them some linky love because I truly believe that Smorty is a great company.

The following paragraph is my comment on Philaahzophy’s post about his recent problem with Smorty.

I have written for Smorty using one of my blogs and I didn’t have a problem with them until today. I received those 2 messages in my control pannel too, they didn’t bother me that much because I believe these messages don’t concern me. First, I dont write for PPP, second I dont place tags saying that my posts are sponsored, third–I never deleted any sponsored posts I did for them.

I know for sure, I didn’t break any of Smorty’s rule so I am very surprised to learn today that the remaining payments to me is being withheld. The reason they say is because “I deleted some posts” … what the hell!!!! ????

A wordpress blog would display the 10 most recent posts, so automatically the older posts would be displayed on the next page. I cannot understand why they said I deleted the posts I did for them! If they care to go on the next page then they will see that the posts are right there!

They still owe me 192$!!! I emailed them about this and I hope I will get the reply tomorrow.

So yeah, I am having a problem with Smorty too. I hope that it’s just becasue of some bugs and that Smorty will fix it immediately because if not, a bad publicity like the one Bloggerwave got will be upon them and it will spread like wildfire!

Smorty’s Thanksgiving Gift

My other blog just got accepted by Smorty today. When Google updated its Page Ranking last October, my blog was left behind because it is too young and it has too little content to be eligible for any Page Rank. When I submitted it to Smorty yesterday, I was a little bit hesitant because I thought without a Page Rank, Smorty will just reject it but I was wrong. Smorty accepted it and immediately gave me 4 opportunities.

Sure, the offered prices are not comparable to what Smorty normally offers to blogs which has a PR of 4, 5, or 6 but I am still happy that my blog got accepted. Finally, my Webcash blog is qualified to generate income from sponsored posts.

By the way, have you logged in to your Smorty account today? If not, do so because there is a must read message from Smorty to its members about the changes which Google made with regards to sponsored postings.

Lastly, happy thanksgiving to all!

WordPress.com Blogs Get Banned

Smorty, my favourite blog advertising network just banned blogs hosted by WordPress.com. I am not surprised because Blogvertise already banned WordPress.com blogs and LinkyLoveArmy just banned them too. These blog advertising sites are not bad. They are banning WordPress.com blogs because they are giving in to WordPress.com’s TOS which firmly prohibits sponsored posts. In a way these blog advertising site are rejecting your WordPress.com blogs or banning them because they don’t want that WordPress.com will delete your blog completely. Another reason why you should just get an account in Blogger.Com if you can’t host your own blog.
